Orange Hospice is seeking compassionate individuals to join our volunteer team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of hospice patients and their families. Volunteers will have the opportunity to provide vital services to patients and their families, as well as support Orange Hospice’s patient care efforts.

Prestigious Recognition
Orange Hospice is an official certifying organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). Volunteers who meet eligibility requirements will receive prestigious recognition for their service through the PVSA’s Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Lifetime Achievement Awards.
ORANGE HOSPICE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
DIRECT PATIENT CARE
Provide companionship and support to hospice patients while relieving a family caregiver for a few hours. You can talk, read aloud, share a meal, watch TV, go on walks or outings, and more with patients, providing invaluable services during their difficult time.
MUSIC CARE
Give the powerful and healing gift of music to hospice patients by singing and/or playing a musical instrument. You can also perform at Orange Hospice’s many Healing Concerts that we host at different facilities.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO
Take professional photos and/or videos of the patient and family to capture and immortalize their moments together. Life Review videos for the patients can also be created to record their life stories for the family to keep to share their legacy.
HAIR CARE
Volunteers with a cosmetology license can provide haircuts and hair styling services to patients and families.
MASSAGE THERAPY
Volunteers with a massage therapy license can provide comforting and relaxing massages to patients and their families to enhance the well being of patients facing end-of-life journeys.
THERAPY PET VISITS
Volunteers with a certified therapy pet with a gentle demeaner can provide love and companionship to hospice patients by paying visits to them in their homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or inpatient hospice units.
ART ENRICHMENT
Share your creative talent with hospice patients by teaching them how to make different works of art, or by providing companionship and making art while the patient watches and enjoys.
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
Provide support at the Orange Hospice office in Buena Park, CA. Assistance with filing, preparing mailings, data entry, answering phones, planning events, and more!
ALTERNATIVE AND COMPLEMENTARY CARE
Volunteers skilled in various forms of unconventional care such as Reiki, aromatherapy, sound baths, Tai Chi, yoga, herbal medicine, and more can share their practices with patients.

Orange Hospice provided our family with compassionate and professional care. They made sure to provide us with medical supplies right away so we would never run out. All the staff were nice answering all the questions that we had regardless how many times we called. They went over the process multiple times until we are fully comfortable. They also collaborated with Woodbridge Pharmacy to expedite the medication delivery services. I highly recommend to everyone who are considering hospice care for their loving ones. Quiero expresar mi más profundo gracias a Orange Hospice por dar los mejores cuidados a mi abuelita durante sus últimas semanas. Desde el momento q ellos nos brindaron sus servicios estaba claro q querían garantizar la comodidad y dignidad de mi abuelita. Todo el equipo fue muy amables y profesionales y se nota la compasión q cada uno tiene. Las enfermeras eran muy atentas y cariñosas y siempre iban más allá para asegurarse q mi abuelita se sintiera lo más cómoda posible. El equipo también nos apoyó emocionalmente, y ofrecieron consuelo y orientación a cada paso. Gracias a ellos pudo morir en paz rodeada de amor y familia y en su propio hogar. The team at Orange Hospice provided exceptional, professional care and support for my grandmother. Their reliability and attentiveness gave us reassurance through a difficult time, always making sure my grandma was comfortable and well-cared for. They were immediately available if my grandma needed anything, from medical supplies to in-person care.Everyone on the staff is kind and supportive, and you can tell they are all truly committed to their work. 예상보다는 짧았던 3주였지만 최대한 통증 없이 잘 보살펴 주신 호스피스 선생님들, 자원봉사자분들께 깊은 감사드립니다.자원봉사자, 닥터, 간호사님 외 모든 스탭분들의 따뜻한 마음과 세심한 배려를 짧은 시간에도 충분히 느낄 수 있었습니다.그리고 저희가족들에게 해주신 따뜻한 말들 덕분에 모두 마음을 추스리고 가시는 길 잘 보내드릴 수 있었다고 합니다.또한 환자를 대함에 있어 병을 해결하고자 하는 목적의식이 강했습니다. 하지만 말기 암 환자의 가족으로서 짧게나마 지내보고, 또 의료진, 자원봉사자분들을 뵈면서 환자나 보호자에게 따뜻하게 말 한마디 건네는 것과, 마음을 쓰는 것이 치료 못지않게 중요하다는 것을 느꼈습니다.다시 한 번, 편안히 떠나실 수 있도록 도와주신 오랜지호스피스 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사의 마음을 전하며, 그 헌신적인 노력에 항상 응원과 존경을 보냅니다.

I've worked for many different home health and hospice agencies, and one of my favorite agencies to work with is Orange Hospice. I truly admire their philosophy of reaching out to the community and listening to what people say about what they want for their care. Moreover, they do put their patients as a top priority, and I see the difference that they are making in other people's lives. I'm glad to have found a good agency to introduce to people who need hospice services.

I positive .my Aunt would have never received the level of care that Orange Hospice has provided. I only need to text Nat and literally within hours I have whatever meds, weekly texts from.the urses in detail listing all her vitals, her conversation , her well.being alert etc. I.consider myself and our family extremely fortunate to.have been provided this level of care. Believe I have heard horror stories from my friends concerning their loved ones. My Aunt just celebrated her 96th birthday omOctober 18th. That would not have been possible withoutOrange Hospice. A shout out to Kathy for her detsiled weekly assessments . You have definitely extended her life. Thanks to all of you
